Assistant City Manager
Chris Sanchez oversees the Information Technology Department, Communications and Marketing Department, Library Department, Housing And Community Services Department, Mesquite Arts Center, and Strategic Services. He has been with the city as the Assistant to the City Manager/Legislative Officer since 2018.
Sanchez has a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has earned Green/Black Belt Certification for the national Lean Six Sigma Methodology program designed as a team-focused managerial approach that seeks to improve organizational performance. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Denver Peak Academy that enhances the way government works through innovation. Prior to his roles in Mesquite, Sanchez was the Innovation Program Manager for the City of Irving and worked in the City Manager’s Office for the City of Lewisville.
