Human Resources

As Director of Human Resources and Civil Service, I welcome you to our website.

Here you can view open positions and apply for a job, learn about employee benefits, and review our Department’s mission and much more.

The Human Resource Department at the City of Mesquite provides full service support to citizens, job applicants, employees, retirees, dependents, management, and Council. We take great pride in what we do and how we do it.  Our goal is to “COMMUNICATE, COMMUNICATE, COMMUNICATE” to assure each and every customer is fully informed of the excellent employment opportunities and benefits offered by the City.

As the primary Department that interacts with applicants, employees, retirees, and family members, we strive to provide hiring practices that conform with all state and federal guidelines, competitive compensation and benefit plans, and a safe working environment.  We are committed to ensuring all applicants and employees are treated fairly and equitably throughout the employment process and their careers. Each member of the HR Department is charged with the responsibility to “see it, own it, and solve it”.

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about what we do every day to support the delivery of services to our valued citizenry.  If you have questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone or email.
