How do I volunteer at the Mesquite Public Library System?

If you are interested in volunteering at the Mesquite Public Library, contact the Mesquite Main Library at 972-216-6220 or the North Branch Library at 972-681-0465 and ask to talk to the Library’s Volunteer Coordinator. You may also contact City of Mesquite Volunteer Services at 972-329-8331. A volunteer application must be completed and submitted.  A background check is required for adults 18 years of age and up. Teens must be at least 15 years old to volunteer. For volunteers ages 15-17, a completed Application for Volunteer Services must be signed by a parent’ before submission. In order for teens to volunteer in the summer, they must first attend an orientation meeting at one of the libraries. For the dates of these meetings, please see our Calendar of Upcoming Events.

The City of Mesquite does not accept court-ordered community service hours.
