  • The City of Mesquite is always seeking volunteer assistance. To volunteer with the City, complete a Volunteer Application online and return it to the Volunteer Office along with a copy of your driver's license or state-issued identification. The Volunteer Office is located at 1616 N. Galloway Ave. in the City’s Community Services building.

  • The City of Mesquite does help with emergency home repairs. The Emergency Repair Program assists homeowners in Mesquite, that qualify as low-income, with repairs to items that pose an imminent threat to the health and/or safety of the Homeowner and is limited to non-working HVAC, non-working water heater, gas leak, and standing raw sewage.   • The City of Mesquite does help with non-emergency home repairs. The program assists homeowners in Mesquite, that qualify as low-income, with up to a $35,000 grant for repairs to address interior and/or exterior deficiencies that make the dwelling unsafe, unsanitary or in need of renewal as determined by staff. Repair or replacement of items could include roofing, vinyl siding, windows, doors, flooring, painting, ADA modifications.

    For program eligibility requirements and to complete an application for the waiting list. Applications are processed in first-come, first-served order. Please Email Sara Rodriguez for additional information. Note: The Housing rehabilitation program does not address foundation repairs or repairs for any other issue(s) caused by the foundation instability.
