  • Residents are responsible for repairing residential sidewalks. The City of Mesquite does have a 50/50 cost-sharing program that assists residents in covering the costs of sidewalk repairs.

  • Private property owners are responsible for trimming trees and shrubs located on their properties. The Streets Division will respond to trees and vegetation issues if they are blocking a street, sidewalk or alley. The Streets Division will not go onto private property to maintain overgrown vegetation or tree limbs.
