4. How do I get my impounded vehicle released?

Contact the front desk at 972-216-6261. You will need to have your VIN number or license plate number to determine which of the three wrecker yards your vehicle could be at. The front desk will then give you the phone number and address where your vehicle is located. You will need to call that wrecker service to obtain fees and requirements to claim your vehicle.

7. What is the department's policy regarding racial profiling?

The Mesquite Police Department is committed to unbiased policing. Acts of racial profiling are strictly prohibited by this department. Citizens who wish to file a complaint regarding an allegation of racial profiling may do by contacting the Mesquite Police Department Internal Affairs Section in person Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 777 North Galloway Avenue, by email at bkeys@mesquitepolice.org or by phone at 972-216-6236.
