Mesquite, TX – September 25, 2018 – The City of Mesquite is beginning a process to update its Comprehensive Plan and is seeking the public’s participation. Mesquite’s Comprehensive Plan will be the long-term vision utilized by the City Council in planning the future growth, development and revitalization of the community. The public can visit www.cityofmesquite.com/CompPlan to get more information and to complete a comprehensive plan survey.
Director of Planning and Development Services Jeff Armstrong said, “This process will build on the numerous successes of previous planning initiatives. We want to enhance and protect the vitality of Mesquite. The public’s involvement will aid us in creating one plan with a single, unified vision for the future of this community.”
Armstrong stated there are opportunities for the community to attend public meetings on the comprehensive plan. The City Council will host a joint meeting with the Planning and Zoning Commission on October 8, starting at 7 p.m. There will also be a Town Hall Tuesday program on October 30, beginning at 7 p.m. The City invites the public to attend both events located at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Ave.
