Mesquite, TX – August 31, 2021 – September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and the City of Mesquite is encouraging residents to visit one of the Mesquite Public Libraries to sign up. A Mesquite Public Library Card gives residents’ access to books, movies, audiobooks, eBooks, downloadable audiobooks and so much more. To learn more about your library, please visit the website at www.cityofmesquite.com/library.
Director of Library Services Virginia Mundt said, “Library cards empower students and are often the best school supply of all. By offering access to technology, resources, and services, a library card gives students the tools to succeed in the classroom and provides people of all ages opportunities to pursue their dreams and passions.”
To apply for a card, visit the Mesquite Main Library, 300 W. Grubb Drive, or the North Branch Library, 2600 Oates Drive. Library cards are free for Mesquite residents and for Mesquite ISD students and staff. Library cards are $25 annually for non-residents. Call 972-216-6220 for more information.
