Mesquite, TX – June 10, 2021 – The Small Business Administration (SBA) is launching a $100 million grant program to connect small businesses with federal relief programs. Through the Community Navigator Pilot Program, the SBA plans to strengthen their outreach to small businesses in underserved communities by partnering with states, local governments, SBA resource partners and other organizations.
Previous rounds of economic relief helped millions of small businesses in 2020. However, many minority-owned businesses and mom and pop shops missed out on the assistance. To better reach these small businesses, the Community Navigator Pilot Program will offer grants of $1 million to $5 million to eligible organizations with deep roots in these communities to serve as an informal connection to SBA resources.
Organizations have until July 12, 2021, to submit their applications at grants.gov. To learn more about the Community Navigator Program, click here
