Mesquite, TX – November 2, 2020 – Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3 and the Mesquite Convention Center & Exhibit Hall, 1700 Rodeo Drive, was selected by the Dallas County Elections Department to serve as a polling location on Election Day, and will host convenient walk-in and curbside voting.
Dallas County registered voters can vote at any location from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Visit www.dallascountyvotes.org to view a sample ballot and find your nearest polling location. Each of the two sizeable exhibit halls at the Mesquite Convention Center & Exhibit Hall will feature up to 25 voting booths and comply with recommended physical distancing measures. Clearly marked prompts will guide safe social interactions and hygiene stations will be available. Election workers will be required to wear a face covering. Posted signage will recommend voters to wear a face covering and a mask will be available for voters who do not have one.
STAR Transit will be offering free, round-trip rides to local polling places. All STAR Transit services are available, including Demand Response, Fixed Routes and STARNow. To ride free on STARNow, use the code Vote2020. Rides must be in the STAR Transit service area or STARNow zone and are based on availability. Voters must tell bus operators they are riding to and from the polls.
