Mesquite, TX – September 30, 2020 – On Sept. 29, Griswold Home Care Mesquite and the Mesquite Elk’s Lodge 2404 donated $500 towards the senior meal program for the Parks and Recreation Department. They presented the check to Mesquite Mayor Bruce Archer, Parks and Recreation Department Director Elizabeth Harrell and to Adult 50+ Program Supervisor Pam Folsom at Mesquite Municipal Center. During the year, the department will provide as many as 1,500 meals per month through its Congregate Meal Program that serves the Adults 50+ participants.
September is National Senior Center Month. At the Sept. 21 City Council meeting, Council approved a resolution committing to the continued support of services and pogroms at the City’s senior centers. Read the resolution.
