Mesquite, TX – September 11, 2020 – Early giving is now open for North Texas Giving Day, an online giving event designed to empower the community to give back to local nonprofits. The Mesquite Arts Council is a nonprofit organization designated to support and nourish the arts in Mesquite. The Council allocates local grants funds and resources for the arts, provides needed services to artists, member organizations and the community; is an advocate for culturally diverse arts programs and is active in the community regarding cultural planning, development and advocacy of the arts.
Historic Mesquite, Inc. is organized for the charitable and educational purposes of identifying and preserving historic structures, identifying and securing historic designations for properties, and providing the public with the tools to navigate Mesquite history and culture.
The mission of the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra is to enhance the cultural arts of North Texas by offering high-quality orchestral performances in the Mesquite and wider North Texas area at affordable prices and serving as a resource for mesquite schools, providing highly trained musicians with other careers the opportunity to continue to perform and increase their skills with a community orchestra.
