Programs, Activities & Events

Programs are scheduled throughout the year for adults, young adults, teens and children. Information about programs is included in the Parks and Recreation Department's Fun Guide, in the Mesquite News, on flyers distributed throughout both libraries and in the Upcoming Events Calendar.

Children's Activities

Storytimes, Lego Clubs, STEM and Craft programs are held at both libraries.  Check our Upcoming Events Calendar for children programs, activities & events throughout the year. 

Teen Activities

Cookies & Crafts for Teens (Ages 11-18) meets one Saturday each month at 4:00 P.M. in the Mesquite Main Library Meeting Room. Teen Trivia (Ages 13-18) meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 4:00 P.M. in the Mesquite Main Library Meeting Room.  

Adult Activities

There are two Book Clubs to join!  The Main Library Book Club meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 P.M. in the Mesquite Main Library Meeting Room.  The North Branch Book Club meets on the second Monday of each month at 2:00 P.M. in the Mesquite North Branch Library Meeting Room.

Tea & Crafts for Adults (Ages 18 and older) meets on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 P.M. in the Mesquite Main Library Meeting Room.

Book-a-Librarian

The Book-a-Librarian program offers one-on-one help with basic instructions for using computers and smart phones, plus tips on how to download eBooks and eAudiobooks, search the Internet, use social media and more.  For ages 17 and older.

Reserve a 30-minute session with a librarian at either library.  To book a session at the Main Library call 972-216-6224.  For help at the North Branch Library call 972-681-0465.
