The Mesquite Public Library System offers both downloadable eBooks and Audiobooks through the cloudLibrary Texas cloudLink Consortium and Libby's Northeast Texas Digital Consortium.

Downloadable EBooks

EBooks from cloudLibrary and Libby can be checked out, downloaded and transferred to an eReader, such as a Kindle, Nook, Sony Reader, Kobo, and many others. They can also be read on a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet.  CloudLibrary is not compatible with Kindle paperwhites or Kindle apps at this time.

To check out an eBook, you will need your library card number and PIN. You can check out a total of 5 eBooks or Audiobooks at a time, and the checkout period is two weeks.

If a title that you want is already checked out, you can place it on a waiting list. When it becomes available, you will receive an email. Once the email has been sent, you will have three days to check it out.

Downloadable Audiobooks

Audiobooks from cloudLibrary and Libby can be checked out, downloaded and transferred to a portable listening device. Audiobooks in the WAV format can be played on any device that uses Windows Media; audiobooks in the MP3 format can be played on any device, including iPods.

To check out an audiobook, you will need your library card number and PIN. Just like with the eBooks, you can check out a total of 5 items at a time and the checkout period is 2 weeks.
