1. Log In or Register a user account.

2. Apply for a Professional License*
Please include a copy of the required State license and/or picture ID (Drivers license, passport).
*Required for ALL homeowners and contractors.* 

3. Apply for your Permit
Make sure to review the different permit TYPES to ensure correct permit application. If a wrong permit type is selected, permit issuance will be delayed.

Building Inspection

Building Inspection is a division of the Planning and Development Services Department of the City of Mesquite, which performs ordinance enforcement in the areas of both residential and commercial construction. Both new and remodel work is inspected to make sure compliance to all adopted codes is met. Construction permits are required, plans reviewed, and permits issued by the division. 

Responsibilities

Building Inspection is responsible for the inspection of buildings and structures during construction to ensure compliance with approved plans and all governing building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, energy, and state codes. 

Construction or work for which a permit is required shall be subject to inspection by the Building Inspection Division, and such construction or work shall remain accessible and exposed for inspection purposes until approved.

The goal of the Building Inspection Division is to provide customer service to the citizens of Mesquite and the construction communities by providing a safe, durably built environment through the enforcement of the codes and standards adopted by the community.
