Who We Are

The Friends of the Mesquite Public Library was formed to promote public use of the Mesquite Public Library System. The group purchases unfunded items for use by the public in the library, supports volunteerism in behalf of the library, and promotes the use of the library’s services and materials in the community.

What We Do

The Friends of the Mesquite Public Library hold semi-annual book sales at the Main Library. Gently-used materials are available for a reasonable price. The first night of the sale is for Friends members only.

The Friends of the Mesquite Public Library supports a variety of library programs including Summer Reading Club, Halloween Happenings, and more.  This non-profit organization also funds purchases for both libraries, such as art work, presentational flags, accessories for the children's area, etc.
