Motor vehicle accident crash reports are not subject to the Texas Public Information Act and should not be requested on this site. Crash reports are not written for all motor vehicle accidents; instead, most are cleared by an exchange of insurance information only. However, if you’re certain a crash report was written for your motor vehicle accident, please visit the TxDOT website to obtain a copy of the report. It can take up to 14 days from the date of the crash for your report to appear in the search results. Please call the Police Records unit at 972-216-6246 for assistance or to determine if a crash report was written for your motor vehicle accident
