Food establishments and other liquid waste generators are required by city ordinance to have their grease trap receptacle evacuated at least twice annually or as frequently as necessary to prevent drain blockages or overflows.
Liquid Waste Hauling Permits
All companies who transport grease trap waste, grit trap waste and/or septage within the City of Mesquite must first have the transport vehicle inspected by the Health Division and obtain a Liquid Waste Hauling Permit. To schedule a liquid waste hauler inspection please contact our office to schedule an inspection. Typically those inspections are scheduled Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Cost of the inspection is $150 per vehicle inspection each year.
