The City of Mesquite is the Official Rodeo Capital of Texas and is set to host its 66th annual Rodeo Parade on April 6st, 2024. 


The Rodeo Parade is a traditional celebration of Western heritage. As the parade winds through the streets of Mesquite, participants and spectators alike are treated to a display of community spirit. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor to the area, the Rodeo Parade is a must-see event. 


Floats are encouraged to be decorated with a "Solar Eclipse" theme in celebration of the solar eclipse that will take place the following Monday. Most creative float has a chance to win free entry the following year for the Rodeo Parade 2025. 

  • The parade follows its traditional route starting on Belt Line at Newsome, proceeding through downtown Mesquite and ending on Galloway Ave at New Market.
  • Spectators may sit along the parade route, the community is advised some roads will be temporarily closed during the event
