The City of Mesquite offers Aquatic Fitness & Exercise Programs to help you live a healthy and active lifestyle. Check out the information below to get started in one of our classes today!

​Aqua Zumba


The Aqua Zumba program gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, the Aqua Zumba class blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water based workout that's cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, fun!

Spring Sessions 


  • Town East Pool 
  • Saturdays, 9-10 AM
  • Cost: $25/month, $7 drop-in
  • Session 1: April 7 - 28
  • Session 2: May 5 - 26

Summer Sessions


  • Vanston Pool
  • Saturdays. 9-10 AM
  • Cost: $25/month, $7 drop-in
  • Session 1: June 2 - 23 
  • Session 2: July 14 - 28 (3 week session, pro-rated)
  • Session 3: August 4 - 25 (back at Town East Pool)
  • Session 4: September 8- 29 (back at Town East Pool)
Registration: Sign up at any of our recreation centers or the Parks and Recreation Administrations office. Drop in registrations will be taken at the pool.  

Active Adults Water Exercise


This is a challenging aerobic workout while taking it easy on your joints. It is possible to sweat in the water! Participants will need to wear a bathing suit and bring a water noodle to class. For more information on this class call 972-216-7791

  • $35 per person / $30 per Adult 50+ 

Beginner Class:

  • Wed. & Fri., 8:30 - 10 a.m.

Intermediate Class: 
  • Mon. & Wed., 7:30 - 9 p.m.

Fitness Swim                                                                                                            



Fitness Swim is for adults 18 years and older. Swimming is an excellent low-impact cardiovascular workout that can help you meet your fitness goals. Participants will be guided through lap swimming workouts and receive help with stroke refinement. All swimming abilities are welcome.  

Registration


  • April 30 - May 25 
  • A $10 late fee is added after May 25
  • *minimum of 10 participants for the class to make

Season


  • June 11 - July 19 (6 week program)

Practice


  • Monday - Thursday
  • 6:15 -7:15 a.m.
  • Town East Pool

Program Fee


  • $60 per swimmer
