Neighborhood Speed Management Program

The City of Mesquite has established the Neighborhood Speed Management Program (NSMP) to address vehicular traffic issues such as excessive speed, cut-through traffic, pedestrian safety, and bicyclist safety. The purpose of the NSMP is to provide neighborhood speed management solutions for vehicular traffic issues that adversely impact the quality of life and the safety of neighborhood residents. 

To accomplish this goal, the department has developed this procedure to ensure a systematic and comprehensive approach to each situation. The City will work closely with residents to properly identify the concerns, conduct appropriate studies to quantify any problems and develop options for addressing problems.
