Archery Range Hours

  • Monday - Thursday: 12:00 p.m. - Dusk (or 9 p.m.)
  • Friday: 12:00 p.m. - Dusk (or 6 p.m.)
  • Saturday: 9 a.m.- Dusk (or 6 p.m.)
  • Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - Dusk (or 6 p.m.)

Westlake Sports Center offers an 8 lane archery range which features shooting distances from 10 to 100 yards.

Private Archery Lessons

Private lessons are taught by a highly experienced and USA Archery Level 3 NTS certified instructor. All equipment is provided.

Archery Classes

Participants will learn proper technique and archery skills.

Beginners (Ages 8 - 16)

Sundays, October 12-26 ; November 9-16, 2025
11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
$40 (resident), $50 (non-resident) - 1 class per week

Archery Range Rules & Regulations

  • All users must check-in at the pro shop
  • Children under age 16 are required to have adult supervision
  • Users assume all risk related to the use of archery range and equipment
    • All archers must:
    • Shoot only at designated targets within their lane
    • Shoot only from the shooting line
    • Ensure that the area is clear before shooting
    • Not use broadhead arrows - only field tip arrows
    • Not dry fire or sky draw
  • All shooting must stop before archers retrieve arrows
  • Maximum draw poundage is 120 for a compound, longbow, and recurve
  • No crossbows allowed
  • Paintball guns and firearms are prohibited
  • No alcoholic beverages, smoking, or pets are allowed within the range area
  • The City of Mesquite is not responsible for damage to or loss of personal equipment
  • Patrons found in violation of any of the above rules or conducting themselves in an unsafe manner will be asked to leave
