    Please join the Mesquite Arts Council as they welcome local artisan Robert Lopez, owner and creator of Durty Laundry, to instruct our Just For Kids event on May 13 at 10:30 AM at the Downtown Mesquite Farmers Market (100 W. Front Street). Learn about the printmaking process and print a silkscreen print on your own t-shirt or tote bag to give to the mother figure in your life! Participants will learn a brief history of the process. This is a FREE event and is open to the public. We ask that you register ahead of arrival. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, or grab a spot at a picnic table, then get cozy and enjoy the award winning duo of Ridge Roberts and Joey McKenzie playing on the Lawrence porch.     Mesquite Recycles Day is a twice-annual event held in Mesquite, TX. At the event, we accept used cell phones, batteries and accessories; printer cartridges, and rechargeable and alkaline batteries. Local agencies are on-hand to collect used toys and children’s items, clothing, and household items. Onsite shredding is available for home use. E-waste will also be accepted, including computers and peripheral equipment, VCRs, DVD players, and similar items. Used appliances are accepted. A maximum of 4 tires per person is permitted.
