Carmen Menza | Translating Light

Carmen Menza is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans video, light-based work, painting, music, and immersive public art installations. Her work with LEDs, acrylic, pigment, glass and mirrored materials react to the surrounding light and create a subtle activation and interaction with viewers. She received her BFA in jazz guitar performance from the University of North Texas.

Art Pick-Up Kits | Giraffes + Guitars

Please join the Mesquite Arts Council as they present their weekly Tote-and-Go art pick-up service. On June 20, we will be preparing gifts for National Giraffe Day ( June 21) and celebrating the art of music. We will be providing kits with the following items: felt giraffe kits and DIY guitars. All items are FREE and open to the public. No registration is required but will help the staff know that you are coming. Limit (1) per participant. This is intended for children 3 -17 years old.

June 20, 2022, City Council Meeting

City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month. The meetings are re-scheduled to the next Tuesday when it conflicts with a City holiday that falls on a Monday meeting date. The start time is published once the agenda is finalized and posted online. Per State law, agendas are posted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the meeting start time. Residents may sign-up through the “Mesquite Messenger” function on the City’s website to receive email notification when a new City Council agenda is posted.
