“Dear Little One” is a collection of series that details Amani Sodiq Odunaiya's journey of healing from childhood trauma. Within the project, there are three series, St. Nicholas, She, and Dear Little One. The first series focuses on grief, the second focuses on rage, and the last series focuses on acceptance

Carmen Menza is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans video, light-based work, painting, music, and immersive public art installations. Her work with LEDs, acrylic, pigment, glass and mirrored materials react to the surrounding light and create a subtle activation and interaction with viewers. She received her BFA in jazz guitar performance from the University of North Texas.

Please join the Mesquite Arts Council as they present their weekly Tote-and-Go art pick-up service. On May 2, we will get ready for Mother’s Day ( Sunday, May 8) and Cinco de Mayo ( Thursday, May 5), along with “May the fourth” (May 4). Each person can select two of the following items: DIY Mother’s Day coin purse, Cinco de Mayo felt cactus project or baby Yoda (Grogu) felt project to celebrate. All items are FREE and open to the public. No registration is required but will help the staff know that you are coming. Limit (1) per participant. This is intended for children 3 -17 years old.

City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month. The meetings are re-scheduled to the next Tuesday when it conflicts with a City holiday that falls on a Monday meeting date. The start time is published once the agenda is finalized and posted online. Per State law, agendas are posted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the meeting start time. Residents may sign-up through the “Mesquite Messenger” function on the City’s website to receive email notification when a new City Council agenda is posted.

Adult Co-Ed Soccer league is designed for teams with an interest in enjoying competition in a fun environment. Leagues are offered in the fall, spring and summer and include 7 games and a tournament for the top 6 teams.
