    With an investigative eye, Mr. Harris creates life-sized (or larger) photo-realistic drawings of subjects laboriously executed with graphite on Mylar. He chooses common everyday people, saddles, skulls, vegetables, or utilitarian objects that he finds intriguing in their complexity.

Williams Luce’s classic play shows us both the pain and the joy of Dickinson’s secluded life.

  2. Trash Bash (Spring)

    Come out and join hundreds of volunteers as we work to clean up Mesquite! Trash Bash is a wonderful opportunity for families, neighbors, and groups to get outside and participate in a community litter cleanup event. Volunteers will be provided trash grabbers, safety vests, disposable gloves, and trash bags. Volunteers will dispose of trash bags and supplies at assigned locations. Pre-registration required so event organizers are able to coordinate supplies and cleanup site locations.

    The Mesquite Police Department is proud to take part in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s, National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. On Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mesquite residents can bring any unwanted prescription drugs they wish to discard to the lobby of the Mesquite Police Department, 777 N. Galloway Avenue, so the prescription drugs can be destroyed in a safe and secure manner.
