Mesquite Arts Center Front Lobby Area
Please join the Mesquite Arts Council as they present their weekly Tote-and-Go Services for October 4. This week they will offer "Large Papier-Mâché Pumpkins" which will include a selection of (1) pumpkin-shaped papier-mache per family participating. This event pairs with our virtual event is hosted on the Mesquite Arts Center's YouTube channel, "Pumpkin Painting Tutorial", premiering on October 6. City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month. The meetings are re-scheduled to the next Tuesday when it conflicts with a City holiday that falls on a Monday meeting date. The start time is published once the agenda is finalized and posted online. Per State law, agendas are posted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the meeting start time. Residents may sign-up through the “Mesquite Messenger” function on the City’s website to receive email notification when a new City Council agenda is posted.
To vote in Texas, you must be registered. Simply pick up a voter registration application, fill it out, and mail it at least 30 days before the election date.
You are eligible to register to vote if:
You are a United States citizen;
You are a resident of the county where you submit the application;
You are at least 18 years old on Election Day;
You are not a convicted felon (you may be eligible to vote if you have completed your sentence, probation, and parole); and
You have not been declared by a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be either totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.
