What happens to the yard waste the City collects?
All yard waste in Mesquite is collected at the Municipal Composting Facility and broken down organically through a method called composting. The finished materials are compost and mulch which can be used for gardening and other landscape purposes.

The Composting Facility is located at 3550 Lawson Road, south of Cartwright Road.
The facility is open daily (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except Wednesdays, Sundays and holidays.
