City Council approves economic development agreement valued at $2.6 million

At the March 18 Regular Meeting, the City Council conducted a public hearing and approved a resolution to finalize an agreement with Elements International Group, LLC, and IDIL Skyline D, LLC, for the relocation of the headquarters of Elements International Group, LLC, to a new industrial building located on 30 acres in the Skyline Industrial District. The international furniture wholesaler is moving its world headquarters to Mesquite and will be creating new jobs in the community. Watch the video presentation (Item 20).

City Council celebrates opening of new Porch Swing restaurant

Members of the City Council joined the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce and restaurant owner Antonio Swad to cut the ribbon on the new Porch Swing restaurant, 3855 W. Emporium Circle. The restaurant features a scratch menu and live music on the weekends. Watch a video recap of the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Special Election scheduled May 4

Urban Air Adventure Park announces expansion in Mesquite

Urban Air Adventure Park, a family-themed entertainment complex, recently announced their plans to open a new location in Mesquite. The 30,706-square-foot indoor trampoline/recreation and entertainment center is scheduled to open in Winter 2020 at 3777 Childress Ave. Read their announcement.

Mesquite Young Life hosts 5K Fun Run on March 30

Help Mesquite Young Life raise money to send local students to camp this summer. The non-profit organization hosts a 5K Fun Run on March 30 at Paschall Park, 1001 New Market Road. The run begins at 8 a.m. and includes a variety of family friendly activities. Learn more and register.
