City Council to meet Dec. 17

The Mesquite City Council Pre-Meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in Training Rooms A and B at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Ave. The Work Session begins at 6 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber, and the Regular Meeting begins at 7 p.m. Meeting agendas are available online at Meetings are broadcast live at and via Facebook Live.

City leaders to participate in The Gift of Reading Dec. 21

Parents and their young children are invited to join us for holiday stories around the Christmas tree from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Mesquite Main Library, 300 W. Grubb Drive. This free event features readers from the City Council, Mesquite Police Department and Mesquite Fire Department sharing holiday stories. After-School Adventures: Kids' Winter Camp

Registration is open for kids' winter camps

Treat your child to a day or week of fun during winter break. Registration is open for two winter camps at Dunford Recreation Center and Rutherford Recreation Center. Camps are open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Session I runs Dec. 24 and Dec. 26-28, and Session II runs Dec. 31 and Jan. 2-7.
