Mesquite will hold an Annual City Election and Special Charter Amendment Election on May 5. City Council to meet on May 7

On Monday, May 7, the Mesquite City Council Pre-Meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in Training Rooms A and B at Mesquite City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Ave.The City Council Regular Meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber. View the meeting agenda online at  or watch the meeting live at

Through May 15, City Hall will display artwork created by Mesquite ISD students. The annual Vertical Team Art Exhibition is a collaborative project between all five Mesquite high schools and their feeder schools. Join Mesquite's Cinco de Mayo celebration on May 5

The Hispanic Forum of Mesquite, in partnership with the Mesquite Parks & Recreation Department, will celebrate Cince de Mayo from noon – 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, at Paschall Park, 1001 New Market Road. This family-friendly event will feature authentic Mexican food, a jalapeño eating contest, folklorico dancers, bounce houses and much more. Mesquite Recycles Day to be held on May 12

Keep Mesquite Beautiful, Inc. and the City of Mesquite will host the semi-annual Recycles Day event from 8 a.m. – noon on Saturday, May 12.
