9th Annual Neighborhood Summit

The City will host the 9th Annual Neighborhood Summit on Feb. 28 at the Cliff Keheley Community Room in the Mesquite Government Center located at 500 S. Galloway Avenue. Breakfast and networking will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the program starting at 9:30 a.m. We encourage residents, neighborhood leaders and community partners to attend and be part of the conversation about strengthening Mesquite together. A Royal Evening at the Mother-Son, Father-Daughter Dances

Have fun and make memories at this year's Mother-Son and Daddy-Daughter dances. The Mother-Son Dance will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, March 13. The Daddy-Daughter Dance will take place on Saturday, March 14, and will be offered in two sessions: 4-6 p.m. or 7-9 p.m. The dances will be held at the Mesquite Convention Center. Learn more here.

Pothole Blitz and Road Report Update

The Sierra, Wilkinson, and Paza Drive Real.Texas.Roads. Project has begun paving after the installation of new utilities. Paza Drive from Rupert Street to Wilkinson Drive is closed through March 9 to complete roadway paving. Also, the Streets Division will conduct its monthly Pothole Blitz on Feb. 28 in South Mesquite, focusing on Valley Creek, Creek Crossing, and surrounding neighborhoods. Concentrating crews in these areas allows the City to address a high volume of potholes at once while continuing larger street repairs across Mesquite.
