Upcoming District Meetings

City Councilmembers will be hosting upcoming meetings in their districts. Councilmember Brandon Murden will host the District 6 meeting at 10 a.m. on Jan. 31 at Keystone Church, 1575 Clay Mathis Road. Councilmember Kenny Green will host the District 2 meeting at 10 a.m. on Feb. 7 at Dallas College Eastfield Building B, 3737 Motley Drive. Be part of the conversation! Pothole Blitz and Road Report Update

Construction on the Real.Texas.Roads. project continues on Monticello Drive and Golden Grove Drive, with work recently completed on Fernwood Drive. Construction crews will then work on Stony Glen Drive as the project progresses. Also, crews repaired 189 potholes across several neighborhoods and corridors during last month's Pothole Blitz. Mesquite Police and Fire Help Residents Ring in the New Year

The City of Mesquite Police and Fire Departments proactively helped residents enjoy safe celebrations on New Year's Eve. Mesquite Police Officers confiscated more than 46 pounds of fireworks, seized two firearms and made two arrests for discharge of a firearm. Officers made six DWI arrests, but reported no accidents as a result of these offenses. Click here to learn more.

Animal Services Town Hall

Attendees can learn about Animal Services, including responsible pet care, what to do if you find a stray animal, wildlife concerns, and how to keep your pets safe and healthy. Cracking the Code: Holiday Lights

There's only one thing more fun than putting up Christmas lights before the holiday season, and that's taking them down! Did you know there is a City Ordinance requiring holiday decorations to be removed and cleaned up by January 15 each year? This helps keep Mesquite the beautiful and thriving place we all love. Teen Turnout on Jan. 17
