Register to vote by Oct. 6Oct. 6 is the last day to register to vote in the upcoming election. Early voting in Dallas and Kaufman County will be from Oct. 20-31, and polls will be open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 4. Residents can visit the Dallas County and Kaufman County elections departments online for more information. Also, the City will host a Town Hall meeting from 6-7 p.m. on Oct. 2 at Mesquite City Hall in Training Rooms A&B. Celebrate first responders during Salute to Safety eventsFrom Sept. 26-Oct. 7, the City will host Salute to Safety, a celebration of first responders in Mesquite. Results, compiled by independent research firm ETC Institute, will help assess satisfaction, set community priorities, and compare service quality with past years and other cities. Road Report update: Alley reconstructionCrews will reconstruct new concrete alleys at 12 different locations in Mesquite. Reconstruction began in August and will continue as each alley is completed one by one. The project is expected to be complete in Spring 2026. Click here for more information.
