Celebrate Hispanic Heritage MonthFrom Sept. 15-Oct. 15, the City of Mesquite will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a variety of events, including Vida Sana, a health and wellness fair geared toward the Hispanic community. The fair will offer fitness classes, healthy living education sessions and the chance to win raffle prizes. Vida Sana will run from 2-4 p.m. on Sept. 20 at the Mesquite Arts Center. City conducting community surveyRandomly selected citizens will be contacted throughout August and September to participate in the 2025 Mesquite Community Attitude and Satisfaction Survey questionnaire by mail or online. 135 shelter pets find new homes
During national Clear the Shelters month from Aug. 1 to Aug. 31, the Mesquite Animal Shelter placed 135 pets in new homes, including 35 animals who found homes during the Shelter's special one-day adoption event on Aug. 23.
