Labor Day holiday closures and service impactsCity of Mesquite offices will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Commercial and Residential trash will still be collected. Commercial recycling will also be collected. Residential recycling will not be collected and will resume on the next scheduled collection day. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage MonthFrom Sept. 15-Oct. 15, the City of Mesquite will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a variety of events, including Vida Sana, a health and wellness fair geared toward the Hispanic community. The fair will offer fitness classes, healthy living education sessions and the chance to win raffle prizes. Vida Sana will run from 2-4 p.m. on Sept. 20 at the Mesquite Arts Center.
