City Council meets March 1 Mesquite City Council will meet on March 1 at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Avenue. The Pre-Meeting begins at 5:15 p.m. in Training Rooms A and B, followed by a Work Session at 6:30 p.m. and the Regular Meeting at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Members of the public, applicants and interested parties may attend the meeting in person. All persons present at the meeting location must observe social distancing by remaining a minimum of six (6) feet from other meeting participants and must wear a covering over their nose and mouth. Mesquite announces Emergency Home Repair Assistance Program In response to the damage caused to homes in its community by last week’s winter storm, the City of Mesquite is promoting its Emergency Home Repair Assistance Program. This program is available to assist income-eligible homeowners in Mesquite with emergency home repairs. Sales Tax The City of Mesquite’s February sales tax receipts, which represent sales activity for the month of December, is 2.1% below the amount reported for the same period last year.
