The Pre-Meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in Training Rooms A and B, followed by the Regular Meeting at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Members of the public, applicants and interested parties may attend the meeting in person. All persons present at the meeting location must observe social distancing by remaining a minimum of six (6) feet from other meeting participants and must wear a covering over their nose and mouth. COVID-19 vaccine information for Mesquite residents Mesquite residents in Dallas and Kaufman counties can now begin registering for the COVID-19 vaccine. Mesquite celebrates Martin Luther King, Jr. on Jan. 16 Every January, the City of Mesquite along with the Mesquite NAACP celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year, the celebration will take place in the comfort of your home on Saturday, Jan. 16. Paycheck Protection Program reopens The U.S. Small Business Administration, in consultation with the Treasury Department, announced the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) has reopened for new borrowers and certain existing PPP borrowers. Starting this week, only community financial institutions were able to make First Draw PPP Loans and Second Draw PPP Loans. The PPP will open to all participating lenders shortly thereafter.
