Mesquite Police Department dismantles major narcotics trafficking organizationThe Mesquite Police Department Narcotics Unit began an investigation on a low-level local narcotics dealer who was selling small amounts of marijuana and illegal THC products in Mesquite. That investigation led to the arrest of not only the local dealer but also identified numerous high-level narcotics traffickers involved in a larger-scale drug trafficking organization. Mesquite residents have access to COVID-19 recovery caseworker
As a part of their ongoing Recovery Mesquite efforts, the City of Mesquite announced Mesquite residents have access to a Spanish bilingual caseworker to aid them in submitting applications through Catholic Charities Dallas (CCD) for COVID-19 economic assistance funds for rental or mortgage payments, utility bills and other related expenses. As part of its Recovery Mesquite efforts, the City of Mesquite announced small businesses located in Mesquite and who have been economically impacted by COVID-19 can apply for up to $50,000 in forgivable loans through the Dallas County Emergency Business Assistance Program.
