Mesquite businesses and customers are required to wear face coverings

The City of Mesquite is reminding residents that the Dallas County Order requiring all business employees and customers to wear a face covering while inside a business is now in effect. The new Order is designed to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 disease. Businesses that don’t comply can face a fine of up to $500 per violation. Call the COVID-19 Hotline at 972-329-8373 to report a violation of the order at Mesquite businesses.

Budget Survey How does the city pay for services

City seeks input on budget

Each year, the City of Mesquite creates a budget to estimate revenues and expenditures and part of that process is to engage citizens for feedback. The City is seeking additional feedback this year with the Budget Priorities Citizen Survey. The survey will be available from June 25 through July 7. However, the survey tool will not be available on July 3 from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. due to online maintenance by the survey vendor. Watch the budget educational video. Complete the survey. Learn more.
