Mesquite, TX – June 15, 2018 – Today, the Mesquite Police Department (MPD) graduated three recruits from its Basic Police Officer Course (BPOC) class. The graduates are Miguel A. Perez – Dallas, Texas; Nicholas R. DaSilva – Randolph, New Jersey; and Brett M. Thompson – San Antonio, Texas.
The three new police officers completed 25 weeks of the BPOC program. They will now begin a 17-week field training program. Upon successful completion of the field training program the police officers will be assigned to patrol duties.
