UPDATE on 9/8: The City of Forney reported on Sept. 7 that 3 of the 4 pumps at their main pump station are back online. Until the final repairs are finished, officials are requesting that residents refrain from unnecessary high usage of water, mainly irrigating lawns or filling pools. All other uses are acceptable.
Original post on 9/5: The City of Mesquite is passing on this urgent information from the City of Forney. This restriction applies to all Markout water customers. The City of Forney’s main pump station is currently out of service, posing a serious threat to the water supply. All residents in this area should take immediate action by limiting water usage to only essential needs, including drinking and bathing, until further instructed. While this is inconvenient, this step is imperative to guarantee an adequate water supply for necessities during this critical period.
