Mesquite, TX – Nov. 14, 2022 – To kick off the holiday season, Mesquite Parks and Recreation’s annual Christmas in the Park, is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Westlake Park, 601 Gross Road. This family-friendly event features kid’s activities, holiday décor, community performances, and food trucks.
Traditional favorites of the event will return including story time with Mrs. Claus, free pictures with Santa for children and pets, kids’ activity area, food trucks, s’mores and more. To conclude the event the “Here Comes Christmas” parade, featuring festive, lighted floats, will proceed through the center of Westlake Park each evening at 7 p.m. followed by a brief fireworks finale.
Christmas in the Park is designed to be a low-cost event for families. Many of the attractions are free such as roasting marshmallows on the yule log and Rudolph’s Reindeer Games. Parking and entrance to the event are free and activity wristbands can be purchased for $10 each.
