Mesquite, TX – June 9, 2020 – On June 8, Mayor Bruce Archer, Mayor Pro Tem Robert Miklos, Deputy Pro Tem Dan Aleman and other city staff met with representatives of the Mesquite TX Tri East-NAACP. The goal of the meeting was to open a dialogue to help enhance racial equality in the City of Mesquite.
At the meeting, Henry Brown, President of the Mesquite NAACP along with Secretary Jazmine Riley, Pastor Reginald Jefferson, and Ron Ward presented a list of suggested policies for the City. City Manger Cliff Keheley and Mesquite Police Chief Charles Cato were also part of the meeting.
The group also discussed future partnership and meetings with continued dialogue.
