Mesquite, TX – June 5, 2020 – The Mesquite Championship Rodeo (MCR) is riding into town this weekend. Saturday, June 6 marks the start of the 13-week series at the Mesquite Arena, 1818 Rodeo Drive. Though the MCR is reopening, they are implanting safety procedures regarding COVID-19. The rodeo will be following Dallas County guidelines and the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association guidelines. The venue will have pre-designated seating and they are taking extra precautions to sanitize high touch surfaces. Social distancing will be encouraged, along with face masks or face coverings.
Since 1957, the MCR has been captivating the attention of rodeo fans and tourists alike and this year will be no different. The MCR will continue its 63rd consecutive year on Saturday nights. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the rodeo starts at 7:30 p.m.
