The City of Mesquite will host the May 18 City Council meeting in Training Rooms A & B at City Hall, located at 757 North Galloway Avenue. The Pre-Meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and the Regular Meeting at 7 p.m. Any needs for the City Council to meet in Executive Session will also be held in these rooms, and attendees will be temporarily excused.
In order to advance the public health and support social distancing in response to the coronavirus pandemic, access to the rooms will be limited to the City Council, designated City staff, individuals with official business on the agenda and the public requesting to speak.
Members of the public interested in speaking during the meeting are advised to
participate by telephone conference using one of the following toll-free dial-in numbers: 877-853-5257 or 888-475-4499. The participation code (meeting id) for this telephone conference is: 844 1471 9804 # #. You will be called upon to speak by the last 4 digits of your phone number. Though not encouraged, members of the public may also appear in the lobby of City Hall to be escorted to the Training Rooms to comment on an agenda item. The lobby is limited to no more than 25 people at anytime. All attendees must observe social distancing by remaining a minimum of 6 feet from other attendees and are strongly encouraged to wear a covering over their nose and mouth.
Members of the public requesting to comment during Citizens Forum must preregister. Contact the City Secretary’s Office no later than 3 p.m., May 18 at sland@cityofmesquite.com or 972-216-6244. Provide your name, address and phone number to be used for calling into the meeting.
Comments on agenda items may be made before the meeting by email at sland@cityofmesquite.com no later than 3 p.m. on May 18.
