Summer Youth Internship Program

Program Overview

Each year the City of Mesquite hosts a Summer Youth Internship Program for Mesquite ISD students. The Summer Youth Internship Program provides eligible students the opportunity to connect to their future by helping them acquire the skills and training necessary for them to successfully transition into college and into future careers. Through a paid, six week internship opportunity students will be placed at a local business, nonprofit, or government agency. Eligible applicants will go through an interview process and City of Mesquite's Community Services staff will select the most qualified applicants to participate in the program. The City of Mesquite Summer Youth Internship Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
