Beginning June 25th, taxiway alpha will be closed south of taxiway charlie.
Phase 1 of our airport construction project will begin on May 29, 2018. For this phase of the project we will be closing taxiway alpha between taxiway delta and taxiway charlie. The following work will be completed during this phase:
- Replacing the asphalt shoulders on taxiway alpha
- Installing taxiway edge lights on taxiway alpha and taxiway connectors
- Re-grading the drainage channels west of taxiway alpha
This portion of the project is projected to take 55 calendar days to complete.
Phase 4 of our airport construction project will require us to close the runway for 60 days as we replace the runway edge lights and reconstruct the asphalt shoulder. While the runway is closed we will have a 2,960 foot long portion on the south portion of taxiway alpha available as a landing surface for VFR day operations only. This phase of the project is projected to begin the middle of October.
Please keep up to date with the NOTAMs for Mesquite Metro Airport as we progress through this project.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to keep Mesquite Metro safe.
