The City of Mesquite’s Finance Department was informed this week it has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2008. NEW HOURS FOR RECREATION CENTERS TO BEGIN IN JANUARY
(Mesquite, Texas) – Beginning January 4, 2010, Mesquite’s recreation centers will change the open-to-the-public operating hours to make improvements to the City’s Recreation After School Program (RASP).

MESQUITE CELEBRATES NATIONAL ANIMAL SHELTER APPRECIATION WEEK
(Mesquite, Texas)– The Mesquite Animal Shelter and Adoption Center will hold an open house in conjunction with National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week. The shelter will offer tours and other information for anyone curious about how the shelter works or how to adopt animals. The open house will be offered Monday, November 2, through Saturday, November 7, 2009, from 1 – 5 p.m.
