ATHLETIC/AQUATIC SUPERINTENDENT
Starting Salary: Starting Salary: $50,076 annually
Closing Date: Open Until Filled
The City of Mesquite is seeking a qualified Athletic/Aquatic Superintendent to join our team. The Athletic/Aquatic Superintendent will supervise, assign, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for providing athletic/aquatic programs within the Parks and Recreation Department; and will perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation administration, physical education, or other related field.

  • Requires two (2) years of increasingly responsible athletics program management, sports administration, or aquatics management experience.

  • Must possess a valid Class C Texas driver's license.

Must be available to work M-F 8am-5pm with some evenings and weekends as needed.

MARKETING SPECIALIST
Starting Salary: Starting Salary: $36,000 annually
Closing Date: Open Until Filled
The City of Mesquite is seeking a qualified Marketing Specialist to implement and coordinate the marketing strategies for the Parks and Recreation Department. The Marketing Specialist will create and maintain a favorable public relations image for the department through the promotion of the mission and vision of the department through a variety of media and marketing tools.

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in marketing, communications, public relations, public administration, recreation or closely related field.

  • Professional level work experience in marketing, communications, public relations, public administration, recreation or closely related field may substitute for Bachelor degree requirement. One year of professional level work experience may be substituted for each year of required education, up to a maximum substitution of four years. A High School Diploma or GED is required when substituting professional level work experience for the Bachelor degree requirement.

  • Requires one (1) year of experience working in a related field.

  • Must possess a valid Class C Texas driver's license.

Must be available to work M-F 8am-5pm with some nights and weekends as needed.
